Dueling Dualies: AMD Vs. Intel

ExtremeTech has a head-to-head review between the new dual core chips from AMD and Intel. According to them, the AMD blows the Intel offering away in almost all benchmarks. The downside is both these chips cost so dang much.

In any case, it'll be awhile before I have the money to purchase either of them so it is academic to me.

Aloha!

The difference you see is a marketing chip from Intel angainst a workhores from AMD. Intel just went dualcore with the P4 to beat AMD to market, their chip is not designed to be dual-core, it's just 'slapped' together fast. Next year they will have a real dualcore chip based on their mobile processor range
