But then Christians are shooting themselves by making it all commercial.
That big fat man in red clothes is all over the place but he aint' no connection to the bible. Neighte do all those glass and plastic balls and lights. Check the streets. If you look carefull you may find some religeous biblical elements. But I bet old Romans and Persians and Kelts would recognise the festivities without noticing the attempted Christian appropriation of it and say "hey, after 2000years they are still celebrating the solistice".
